How we source, verify and deliver quality commodities from Ghana and West Africa to global buyers.
At Rosslyn Investments Limited, quality assurance begins at the sourcing stage. We work only with verified suppliers, conduct or commission pre-shipment inspections where required, and ensure that all commodity shipments are accompanied by the necessary trade documentation.
We identify and vet local producers, aggregators and exporters with track records in supplying the relevant commodity categories.
We assess commodity quality through physical inspection, laboratory analysis or third-party quality reports before confirming supply.
Where required by the buyer, we arrange SGS or equivalent pre-shipment inspection to confirm specifications before loading.
We coordinate all required export documentation including certificates of origin, phytosanitary certificates, packing lists and commercial invoices.
We work with freight forwarders and shipping agents to coordinate container booking, inland transport and port handling.
We track shipments to destination and follow up with buyers on receipt and any post-delivery requirements.
We manage the full documentation process to ensure smooth customs clearance and buyer confidence.
Issued by the seller confirming the sale, value, quantity and trade terms for customs and payment purposes.
Details the contents, weight and dimensions of each package in the shipment for customs inspection.
Issued by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) or Chamber of Commerce confirming the origin of the goods.
Required for agricultural commodities — confirms the goods meet the plant health standards of the importing country.
Third-party pre-shipment inspection report confirming commodity quality, quantity and packing before loading.
Shipping document issued by the carrier confirming receipt of goods for shipment — used for cargo release at destination.
Most commodity shipments are handled via sea freight from the ports of Tema (Ghana) or Abidjan (Ivory Coast) using FCL or LCL containers.
We handle 20ft and 40ft container shipments — standard dry, flexi tank and open-top containers depending on the commodity.
Products are packed according to buyer specifications or standard export packaging — including PP bags, jute bags, drums and flexi tanks.
We trade on FOB, CFR and CIF terms — subject to negotiation. All trade terms are clearly stated in the sales contract and proforma invoice.
